Free Electus Bodyguards

A hireable AI ped system for FiveM. Players rent bodyguards from shops, gangs pull recruits off the street, and cops call in AI reinforcements with /backup. Handy on servers where one side of the cops-and-robbers scale is thin, since it evens out the numbers without waiting for real players to log on.

Three flavours of ped

• Regular bodyguards bought from a shop by anyone with the cash.
• Gang recruits pulled straight off the street by gang members.
• Police backup summoned via /backup, restricted to the police job.

Each type can be locked behind a job, so only cops get police backup and only your gangs get street recruits. Bodyguards themselves come in different builds, rated across shooting, driving and armor, so the shop choice actually matters.

How hiring works

A bodyguard is rented for a chosen amount of time, and the price scales with the duration. Once bought, they stick around until the timer runs out or the player terminates the contract. If your bodyguard dies, walk back into the shop and claim insurance to spawn a fresh one.

Put a bodyguard on leave when you do not need them, then reinstate them later. Terminating the contract removes them for good.

Commanding them

• Target the bodyguard, or press the default G key, to tell a single ped to hold position, follow you, or go on leave.
• Use /bodyguard_stay and /bodyguard_follow to move your whole crew at once.
• Open the vehicle menu to swap seats or hand the wheel to a bodyguard so they drive you to a waypoint.

Bodyguards will follow you into cars on their own, defend you from attackers, and use either their own weapons or ones you assign to them at purchase.

Config

Almost everything is exposed: ped models, weapon models, all prices and price deductions, speed metrics, maximum slots per player, and the currency used. In theory the slot cap can be unlimited, though for obvious reasons that is not recommended.

• Idle: 0.00ms
• With bodyguards deployed under heavy tasks: 0.06 to 0.08ms max
